Oh...My...Word! First of all, love your deep blue sky, secondly, this desert scene is spectacular! The 'city'looks so 'intimadating' even from a distance! National Geographic would be so proud.... :)

Thanks so much, Dianna. The city is not at all intimidating. It is filled with incredible buildings that seem lace-like in their detailed carvings, and the people are friendly. One problem: this shot was taken in May when temperatures regularly hit 115 degrees. :)

Ok, "intimidating", bad choice of wording. It is just sooooo huge, maybe 'fortress' or 'citadel'...since you teach 'communications', help me!!! I am at a loss for the right word description! I must be extra tired tonight as I 'babble'! No matter, it is a striking image! :):)

The light here is striking, illuminating the structures so warmly. It's easy to see why this was chosen as a defensive position. I find myself wondering, though, how they got (and get)their water.
