Taken early morning but there is almost nothing left untouched in this image; it has been filtered several times over.

Thanks so much Jessica for commenting on it. This image shows my current skills in PSE4. The slanted mist through the trees is added; highlights are added to the horse's tail, the middle of the field is lightened (the whole of it was dark); areas on the horse have been overlayed to diffuse spots where the light bounced off too brightly, fence posts and electric wires have been cloned out, contrast has been added to emphasize the shine on the hair of the tail against the haunch; the mane has been brushed with the same color as the tail to make them match (it was very coppery), the sky has been muted, and the signature added...that's what I remember doing! I have about four versions of this one and like them all for different reasons.

Thanks Joanne and Lisa. I'm contemplating putting this one on canvas. It's funny how we see the horse heading away and wish he was coming back toward us, then, later, find that it was actually better this way than we'd envisoned. I took a dozen photos of him at that magic hour in our overgrown field and they are all thrilling, but this one is special. Can't imagine setting up to get it again!
