I know this is an old thread, but to set the record straight this is a 1950 Buick....I know because it was the second car I ever owned....my first was a 1937 Pontiac....And, you're right about the chromium steel bumper. Unless you happened hit a stray elephant at 50MPH, you were still good to go.....Great nostalgiac capture.
