This poor one legged Seagull followed us across the bay for half an hour. It kept flying behind the ferry & would get close if you held your hand up & no-one had anything to give it. Taken on Auto, hand held around 4pm between Nelson Bay & Tea Gardens, NSW.

Beautifully presented collage of this seagull, Chris! There's a one legged seagull plus one with a broken leg along the Delaware River in Philadelphia, PA. I have photos of the seagull with the broken leg and will post one soon.

Very nice group of pics Chris.I have observed locally for the last two years the same one legged Seagull, they manage in their own way.You would think one person may have had a packet of potato chips to help the little bloke along!

It's amazing how many Seagulls are missing a leg. Last year when we were down at Shellharbour I saw one with no feet. It could walk on the grass & sand but not the path or road, it flew then. Thanks for your comment.
