Gary, thanks for you comments! BTW, I shot this at Marin Headlands, CA, and I went a few times until the tide was just washing over the rocks in the foreground. I set the aperture to f-22 to get a long exposure of about a second. That gave it the silky look. I also used a 3-stop neutral density filter over the sky so that the sky would not be washed out. Jen

Fascinating, I love the long exposure it seemed to create a look of fog rolling in over the rocks. The details of the rocks in the foreground stand out against the water, while the silhouettes set a great contrast to the sky.
