Far from the Gardens
mid-morning shot on a sunny day; so far I've gotten comments applauding and condemning the people on the left; I have frames with and without them, and I like both; the people give an additional sense of 'urban press' or 'weight of humanity' in the shot which is dominated by the subject, whose expression supports the sense of isolation amid so many -- I welcome the comments regarding the people in the b/g either way

lovely portrait, Michael. I love how you've included the people in the b/g. great eye contact with the subject.

beautiful subject. just a side note I would crop out the people on the left...they distract from the portrait

Great tones, & love the expression. Personally I like the people in the bg - it looks like they're walking away from her adding to the 'sense of isolation' that you're going for with the expression. Anyway ... nice job.

I think the people in the bg give the image context. Without them you would have a model's shot...less unique. I say yes to the bg.
