Yes indeed I echo Glenn and Donna's reponses. It is a great shot. Interesting how you managed to get so much light on the walls of the alleyway and not burn out the blue sky in the windows across and behind the (?)church.
Manipulated?

  Mr. Biechele,
How fantastic !! It is an intriguing photo. I know the buildings, as I was born in Boston. Your creative sight, has opened my eyes.
Thank you.

Thank you for the comments! There was very little manipulation done on this photo ( small adjustments to rotation, levels, and saturation done in PhotoShop). The photo was taken about midday, so there was enough light coming into the alleyway, and the walls were not too dark. +Guy

  Guy,
Very nice photo. Congratulations on your winning photo. Can you tell me where it is in Boston? I live in Hanover (south of Boston) but my husband and I can't identify the buildings. Your gallery is wonderful. Do you give lessons?

This one took me back a few years! I used to work in downtown Boston - the big blue skyscraper near the old state house and I also worked in that old building that looked like a castle across from the aquarium (my office was in the "tower room". At first I thought this was that building, but I think it's the building right around the corner from the Black Rose Bar. Fantastic shot in any case! I need to visit that great city again soon.
