Okay, here's our image for the monthly PhotoFlash "Where in the World" quiz.

Ladies and gentlemen, take your best guess. Where do you think this image was created? (As specific as you can get... I am talking street names, people.)

And George, don't give away any hints. For example, if this was shot from the offices of Shutterbug magazine, don't tell anyone.

Let the games begin...

  Hi
Oh, ever so close, but no cigar. Note the two-way traffic (hint).

I guess I am way off, but I was going to say Boston. . . couldn't even begin to say where. Also, it could be a view from the Penobscot Building in downtown Detroit when I worked on the 22nd floor! I guess I would have been looking down on Fort Street. . .

Doesn't look like Park Ave to me...how about Lexington Ave...and if I have to narrow it down further...somewhere in the 30's?

  Hi
The two way traffic is really the tipoff here.

Well, looking at the cars it suggest late 60's or 70's. I looking at the pharmacy would guess PA. There is bus stop benches but no pinpoint clue for me. It could be downtown Toledo or just that place in our past wintery travels that evokes that old memory, great picture!! Sharon

HI George, Judging by the height of where you are too, it looks like it may be the offices of the Corbis Stock Market in NYC.I can't remember the exact address but it looks like it may be there.

I'll tell all by wednesday this week, but I can tell you all that the shot was made in 1987 and it's from my fifth floor office at the old Pop Photo building (Ziff/CBS). That's the last clue.

It's got to be around Rock Center...the 2-way street isn't an Ave like we may think, it's a 2-way street, like 42nd. ??? but that's not where Rock Center is...? 49th and Rock Center, and that's my FINAL answer! ;>)

14th St.? Possibly near Union Sq., and the shopping, but not actually at Union Sq. I notice the subway entrance. But my other guess is Houston St.- I know it's definitely not near the F's stops at 1st/2nd. Near Mott St.? (Is there a 4,5,6 stop there?) The buildings don't look like any I can recall on Houston though. Ok, these are my two guesses so far.
