Glenn Theal     Excellent photo.

I especially love the mountain climbers in the foreground to provide scale.

Very nice!

Cheers,
Glenn

Thanks Glenn. Actually the figures are a cheat - they are off another neg which I cloned. I was last on the rope and the rest of the party were behind me. They didn't take too kindly to being asked to shuffle about on a narrow ridge so I could get them in the foreground! The climb was done in 1976 and I've been going through my old negs and seeing what can be done with modern digital imaging. By chance I had taken three negs that formed a panorama - stitched with PhotoVista. It just didn't quite work without the figures though.

This photo is stunning, especially since I couldn't complete my vacation in Switzerland due to breaking my knee in September. It's breathtaking, even if the hikers were a "cheat". I love that it's in b&w.

Thanks Mary. It's definately one of my favourites. I hope the leg's mending well!
