Sampan water color
Shennong Stream, a crystal clear tributary of the Yangtze River, rises in the southern part of the Shennongjia Natural Reserve. It joins the Yangtze at Xirangkou in Hubei's Badong Province.

The Shennong trackers rowed through this lovely and tranquil country enroute to an adventure worth remembering.

The Three Gorges Dam will envelop and submerge this tranquil environment and take these people away from their homes and ancestors forever. Lost will be thousands of years of Chinese history, healing herbs, and rich farm land.

Bunny Snow 		  Thanks, Jim. It is. I love these slides. They came out so well. Apparently, my exposure was right on because the processor felt my negatives and slides were just about perfect.

I guess that's one good thing about overcast days --a lower contrast ratio.
