Ken, Kay, Janine, and Sam...thank you all for your responses and comments! For some reason, on this particular afternoon/evening--as the foraging geese were starting to fly back to the lake for the night--the different gaggles all started crowding together in one small area on the ice. This picture doesn't show all of them that eventually bunched up together there. Thanks again! :-)

Thanks for stopping by my gallery and commenting on this photo, John. I usually don't think to take a tripod with me, but luckily I had one when I took this telephoto shot; because of the nice reflections on the melted ice, and the low camera angle, the pano crop worked really well. Thanks again!
