Mike, I'm partial to Aspens and everytime I go into the canyons above SLC, I try to capture these trees in a wonderful breathtaking way but I always fall short. This photo is wonderfully done. You have wonderful light on the trees and then you have the additional wow factor of the golden light behind them. Wondful.

I just happened to be at the right place at the right time. I was driving down the road and looking out my side windows at the trees when I noticed this particular grove with very nice light modeling. So I pulled over and walked about 50-75 yards into the the forest until I found the pattern and composition that I was looking for ... and then the lighting did the rest!

COOOOOL! How about that! What a wonderful part of the country. It's been a "LOT" of years since I last laid my eyes on those beautiful Rockies...but I lived there for quite a while...9,100 feet above sea level. Breathtaking!!!! :))

Hi Joannie, Thanks for the comment. Yeah, my postings have crawled to a halt almost. I started a new job in August and it's been "very" busy and taking up a lot of my free time. I've been on a few photo outings, but I'm way behind on working on my photos and posting them. Hopefully I will be getting more of these posted soon.
