Great work, Steve! I don't know what "digital slide sandwich" is, but it worked! Checked both images: this is brighter, more colorful. VERY nice! I liked the original a lot, but this is even better! Gorgeous shot!

Thanks Denis and Nadya! The technique is simply blending a blurred image over the origional and fine tuning the blending mode. Lots of different ways to get the final result :-)
