Thanks everyone for your words of praise. I was truly lucky this night to have captured this beautiful sight because when I started the exposure, the northern lights were not even visible but by the end, wow!

I think that this image, along with a few others that entered, should have been a FIRST place win. Guess the competition is pretty tough. Excellent image. I have a 20d and can't wait until I get my release cable to try some of these long exposures.
