thanks Ronald, that's exactly what the Lensbaby does. Where you focus you get a beautiful sweetspot then the rest of the image gets 'bent' into softness.

Neat selective focus. Given that the subject in this type of scene is always the woman; I really like the unique turn around where the subject is an inanimate object.
