Thanks. I set up the birdbath right outside the window so I could get these kind of shots. The doves are the only birds I've been able to capture so far, but with spring I'm hoping to have more opportunities. There is another picture under the "Yard Birds" category of this same dove. Bert

Perhaps hanging a feeder near by would lure more feathered friends to your bath! This is a nice close up and when the weather warms I'm sure he'll bring his friends in for a 'dip'.

I do have a platform feeder given to me by a friend, set up near by. I have seen mocking birds,cardinals,bluejays, etc... at the birdbath. The problem has been they come when I am not ready to take pictures and they seem more skitish then the doves. I have not seen a pale or white dove yet. I hope to some day get a shot of one of those! Bert Karen is the friend who gave me the feeder and who has at least four of the paler doves visit her feeders.
