This small uninhabited island is only accessible by boat during the day and while the setting is beautiful and inviting the harsh mid day light is too contrasty leaving the shadow areas void of detail. Also, the depth of field was a little off leaving the dead palm leaves in the upper foreground blurry and distracting. Shot with Velvia 50 @40 probably f/22, tripod, polarizer, cable release.

Do you like the photos you shoot in RAW better for color that Velvia? Des

  Yes, it was Velvia E-6 and was digitized with a dedicated film scanner. While nothing can beat Velvia's color you can come pretty close to matching it through RAW conversion and a Velvia Photoshop plugin so I would never go back to shooting film. :)
