Great picture Elanore.I like this much better than the "phony" wolf picture which was the grand prize winner for this month.Could you tell me where this picture was taken?I was in Alaska a couple of years back and went all the way up to the Arctic ocean in search of polar bears,but saw none.

I had no idea that this photo had won anything on this site. This photo taken in Svalbard (northwest of Norway) above the arctic circle. Took a small ship cruise (14 people)the end of June during midnight sun. Had a wonderful sighting up really close in this pristine wilderness.
