Thanks Niels and Carolyn:-) Carolyn, if you have photoshop - any version I believe, just take a shot you'd like to "paint" and then use the smudge tool to replicate paint strokes - it's tedious (depending on the initial photograph) but the results are nice:-) Best of luck to you!!
