Carolyn- Thank you for your positive comment. This old hotel is at the bottom of Cinnimon Pass in south central Colorado. Animas Forks had +-3500 residents at the close of the 19th Century and as the gold dried up it, like many others was abandoned. Now you can get there by regular car or go like we did, over one of the steepest passes on strictly 4 wheel roads. Much more fun to take the latter. Thanks again, Peter
