John, That is one cool thing you have going there!! But I am still not sure what you screw it into? Do you drill into your tripod mount that you take on and off your camera? I don't think you mean that you drill into the bottom of your camera? Btw your gallery is very helpful! Thanks,

The thumbscrew fit into the bottom of the camera, the threads are the same as a tripod. You drill through the thumbscrew to attach the chain to the thumbscrew. Check PhotoID: 1865341. It really works! John
