Blue & Yellow Bird
Sorry, I don't know what kind of bird it is.

What a cute thing! I like the bright colors in this photo, and depth of field gives a nice balance between seeing the twig and using the other leaves as a background. Detail in the bird is nice, too, and the light in the eye gives him some personality. Nice shot!

Beautiful! May I ask the details..Camera..Lens..Film..etc. I've been trying so hard to come up with pictures of birds with the wonderful colors and focus that you were able to capture here. Thank you Debbie Groff

Debbie, I use a Sony DSC F707. It was set on automatic, just blind luck. The bird was on a branch close to the ground and I was just crawling around on the ground. I took several shots before it flew off. Janet

Thank you Janet..I'm not suprised that the colors came out so good using a digital camera...my next purchase:)! I was just wondering how you got such detail without motion blur and not having a high powered zoom lens. Being so close explains that one for me. Thank you again for explaining to me how this was captured so beautifully!

Looks to me like it could either be a Mourning Warbler or a Nashville Warbler Female. Take a look at those two and you make the decision. very nice capture! You caught the color in this bird very nicely, and the sharpness was right on! Justin
