I'm suprised I'm the first to comment on this!!!! This is a spectacular shot of an owl :o)!!! I don't think I've ever seen an owl on the ground. They're always in a tree or something off the ground. The eyes REALLY stand out here and the background coloring is perfect. Great capture!!

Love the photo and love the creature. I use to spend winters in FL at Pompano Park Race Track working with Standardbred race horses. There was a burrow of owls on the infield of the race track and I use to get to see them almost daily. Never did get a good shot of them.
