Do you think that means anything re finalists? I wonder if I should round out the series with a "Yankee Doodle Dandie"???

I would venture to guess no, there isn't a direct connection between being selected, and Finalist. I had a picture make it to DD, but as one of the 5 or 6 they include---not the "Featured" like yours... My pic did not then get a Finalist. But, that proves nothing--it wasn't as good as yours!
That said, it wouldn't surprise me if this GOT Finalist, simpluy cuz it is a great image!
