I would once again like to thank everyone for making this POTD so special with all your very kind and generous comments. Janet, I used a Canon 100mm f/2.8 USM lense, can't remember the setting but the DOF is very narrow. This in turn helps to blurr out the background while maintaining the colour. The bg is a checkered vintage scarf of many colours held about 18 - 24 inches from the metal:-) I hope that helps - if you have any questions please feel free to email me:-) Again thank you ALL and have a GREAT WEEKEND!!!
