Behind the Yellow Line
1/15, f/5.0, ISO400, desaturated and contrast increase in PS.The famous Yamanote Line train pulls out of Shinjuku Station, Tokyo as I stand cautiously behind the yellow line. The Yamanote Line runs in a loop around Tokyo and defines the metropolitan area. With 29 stops it takes 57 mins to complete a loop. These trains come every 3 mins from first train at around 5am to last train at 1:30am. March '06 Finalist

Love the composition where the converging lines pull my eye through the platform into the image.
Also, noting those rule abiding people of Japan including you, hehe...
...the Yamanote Line is only a part of the amazing railway system... I love the the way you introduce the city life of Tokyo in photography, Chris...

Wonderful motion capture Chris ~ just don't get too close to that track!!
I think the UK could use this system to replace the M25 around London which takes much longer than 57 mins to complete ~ even on the best of days ~ LOL!
