For the border: A dear friend copied and old photo of hers that had been processed with filed edges. She then showed me how to attach it to my own pix with photoshop.

heyz mary, this is a great photo as I love the colors, i was just wondering how you got the bouquet all colored and the rest in black and white, I find it remarkable and quite brilliant. good work on that photo, congratz - aravindaps. deserved to be a winner

Aravinda.. thanks! It's really quite easy in PS... 1)just lasso what you would like to keep in color 2)click inverse, so that now the rest of the photo is selected 3)desaturate, and then double click on the picture. or else click inverse again. It should have desaturated everything EXCEPT the lassoed area. Hope it helps and good-luck!
