Wow, nice. Not until I clicked the thumbnail did I know there was snow involved. You have a very nice composition here...the far arm-rest shows completely through the near one, the cropping helps focus on the ironwork, the lion's head in the near ironwork is noticed in this photo but wouldn't be noticed in a photo from farther away, then noticing the snow keeps the viewer's eye on your photo looking for other things as it circles. Nice job.

Thanks for the comments. I Was sitting in the house working when I noticed it had started to snow, grabbed a camera, went out, and snapped a few shots of the lawn furniture in the snow. This was the last one I shot before deciding it was too cold to be standing out there in a t-shirt. I was hoping the snow would last a little longer, I would have really liked a chance to play around with this one some more. -Jason

Nice shot! Great composition too. Most of us won't brave the cold and snow but as we can see, they're missing great oppotunities of awesome pictures. Good work!

Simple enough. This was taken with panasonic digital camera (tripod mounted, shutter set to slow, superfine mode). It had just begun to snow, and I was looking for some good shots, I went outside and started snapping the lawn furniture, I thought it would be a good contrast(summer furniture in a winter setting)in the front yard, and was about to go in(it was pretty cold), when I decided to to go and quickly shoot this in the backyard. It turned out that this was the better shot. The bench is actually an antique(or close to at least), it dates to the early 1900's.

I like this photo. I really like this thread too!! People on this thread have not just said obvisious things like "Congrats!". They have said meaningful things, which I think all of BetterPhoto members should do to help improve photographers. Things like congrats just clog up the threads. Anways I really like this prospective. Most people would not get down to that level often. I took a photo similar to this in the summer but it is a higher view. Go to my gallery to see it if you want. I think it is still posted. Thanks for sharing your photo --Meghan

What an inspiring photo this is . ...love the angle you shot it from. Living in a province where we have more snow than a lot would like, this definitely goes into my memory bank. Thanks for the inspiration and congratulations.
