Almost looks like an animal between the waterfall and trees...guess it's some wood....?Now, do you attribute your stunning gallery of work to long yrs. of experience, patience, being in the right light at the right time, or/ and the camera you enjoy? Spectacular -- I remember viewing this image before.
I also use Nikon, started with D70. The D2x shows wonderful color, love it.

Mary , I guess you are right it's all of those things, some people say it is luck, not so you have to plan ahead of time I visualized this image before I got there many months in advance, I knew all the elements would come together if I could do all the right things at the right time with the right equipment and talent and plan on going back until I caught the right light , which is the secret if there is one.
