Johanna S. Billings's Gallery 		  I do love caterpillar feet, LOL! These are called prolegs and they are the caterpillar's main method of holding on. The front three pairs of legs which look sort of like claws are the prolegs. Those are the legs the 'pillar will keep when it turns into a moth.
