Well I thought I recognised them as we do have them here but didn't mention it as I couldn't remember the name. I have just looked it up and we call them Rosebay Willowherb. But I am certain they are the same thing as they go all fluffy like that. I do have many many pictures of them and may even get round to posting some one day.

This is lovely, Christy. I've read that they're called "fireweed" because they're one of the first vegetation to grow back after a forest fire. Thankfully, I don't have any experience in that area! Thanks for stopping to comment on my rope shadows image.
