Great composition Gianfranco. By using the rule of thirds and having the rainbow in the center made this a professional shot. I would contact some travel agencies and see if you could possible sell it. I've always wanted to come to Scotland and that photo may be what pushes me to go. The travel agencies may see it the same way. Congrats on POTD. Keep up the good work.

Well... thanks to everybody, I was not expecting this!
I think it would be useful to give a bit of background: this shot was taken at the end of August 2005 at around 8.00 pm. I was lucky to decide to wait for the sun to fall below the clouds into the western clear sky window I noticed earlier on. I stayed more than one hour with my tripod set up and the composition fixed, then I was just blessed by mother nature! I remember a local guy telling me "...this is once in a lifetime, you will never see it again..."
I think I've been very lucky, but, as we say in Italy, " La fortuna aiuta gli audaci!"
The slide film was Kodak Ectacrome 100 ASA.Thanks again you all! Gianfranco

This particular photo is absolutely beautiful. The color scheme and continuity is subperb. I thought the subject was interesting. The images were very captivating and intriguing. I really amire your work as an artist and Photographer. I also think that your image of the location of Scotland had given me another perspective of how this geographical location really is as far as a physical territorial appearance - therefore maybe one day I would look forward to visit such a beautiful country.
