This photo is of my daughter Cori (right) and her two best buddies, Sam and Naomi. All three were adopted from Kazakhstan in 2001. We established a little tradition of taking a summer photo of the three kids, always on some sort of bench. The photo itself is impromptu - we never actually plan the shoots; it's usually one of those "let's do it now" moments! Then I snap a whole memory card's worth as fast as I can and hope for the best! (Amazingly enough, this position was not posed - we just sat them down on that bench and they wiggled all over the place for 10 minutes!) :)

Anyway, here is 2004's version; the photos from 2003 and 2005 are also in my gallery, But, unfortunately, 2005's version did not include Sam, as he was having a little bit of a 5-year-old meltdown! :)

Kelly this is an excellent capture of innocence, youthful exuberance and three great friends. I love the way they're all together on one end of the bench. The DOF is perfect as is the lighting. A really wonderful image and I sure hope we see this again!!!! Thanks for the smile!
