Joe, is this real? I mean...did it really look like this or did you fade out the whole background??? This is so beautiful and still and quiet. I am almost scared while at peace, if you know what I mean. (Maybe I have seen to many spooky movies. The monsters always jump out of the quiet!) It's just so placid and calm. You talked about MY Lake Louise shot in the same way I could easily speak about THIS one. (Note: I am waiting for the goose pimples to arrive!) OUTSTANDING my new photo friend! Joe, this image is not only peace-filled and serene, but also surreal... It's astonishing how the boat and its reflection seem suspended in thin air. A stunning once-in-a-lifetime photo. Thank goodness you were ready for it! P.S. I would re-enter this 2005 finalist (belated Congrats!), and see what the judges of 2008 think of it.

Laura & Mary, First of all, thank you so very much for your wonderful comments! I am truly pleased to make your acquaintances! Yes, the picture is real. I edited out a small speck or two of weed or something floating on the water but that was pretty much it. I literally had about a 2 minute window to take the picture and then the sun burned through. I got off about 8 shots and this was the "magic" one. Great idea to re-enter this - do you suggest the Landscape & Nature category or...? Peace, -Joe
