These flowers are awesome! My mom has the same plant with the same flowers, and they just started blooming after not blooming for at least a year!
I think it's really interesting how at first there are just the maroon, bell-shaped things, then the brighter red parts grow out!
Good picture, too; good lighting and composition.

  Thanks Brad. They are beautiful and temperamental, mine bloom whenever they feel like it. You're right, it's interesting how the bell comes out first. Funny how the whole thing falls off, as if it were too heavy for the tiny branch! I've never noticed the pigments until I took this close-up. I like it! Thanks. LMB
