Nice shot, Patricia. Good timing, vertical crop and colors. A few years back I went to the fall balloon fest in Natchez, Mississippi but didn't get anything this good.

Thanks, Murry. One of the highlights of living in Plano is the annual balloon festival here. I love the bright colors of the balloons. Too bad, though, that a lot of them are plastered with advertising.

Beautiful colors and detail Patricia! I had one of these come down in the middle of a soccer game I was coaching last fall! The guy said it was the only place he could find to land! You should have seen the looks on the kids faces!

Thanks, Ron, Dolores and Joy. I liked the contrast between the half-inflated balloon on the ground and the airborne one. This was fun to photograph. ... And Ron, that's pretty funny. I can just imagine the kids' reactions to that! LOL.

Thanks, Gary. Yes, it does look like fun. But at my age, probably the only way to get me up into one of those is to make sure it flies over the Napa Valley, while I drink several glasses of wine. LOL.
