Good title to go with a good strong photograph. You have a steady hand my friend, you are a better one than I.

Thank you, Karen! The Diffractive Optics and Image Stabilizer in the lens help a lot... I can handhold about 3 stops below the usual recommendation with that lens. The hummers were too fast for me to use a tripod. I'm glad you liked the shot!

Thank you, Tonya! They just started showing up here a week or so ago. They should be arriving up north any time now.

I saw one around the 12th of April, but it turned cool again, so they didn't stick around.

  Thank you, Laurence!!

Tonya, we had the occasional visitor as well, but they've now arrived to stay. They're even showing up in the mountains. Give it a week or so and I bet there up at your place!

Great job on this. Love the color and clarity. These guys are as quick as sugar bees! (Er, bee imitating flies that is...hee hee).

Thanks for filling me in on that BTW. I am glad to know they aren't bees. How interesting!

Awesome capture Pam. I am patiently awaiting the return of my hummers. I am in TN...Had one pass through last weekend but he must have kept going! I usually have 8-10 at my house. Guess they got a late start this Spring!!!
