Too Cold To Fly
f/8 @ 1/320; ISO 200; Canon 75-300mm IS lens @ 300mm. Taken at Morton Arboretum, Lisle, Illinois, on a cold, overcast day. It was too cold for the butterfly to fly - they can only fly when they're warm, so he became a perfect subject.

Excellent close-up, Pat, the detail, lighting, and DOF are beautifully captured here! My 75-300 never got shots like this, LOL!!

Thanks, Carol. Maybe it's because it's a new lens!! They usually work good at first. But it also helped that this guy couln't fly and I was able to get several shots.
