Glad you like it, and no fill flash needed here at all. The red color is from the sunlight reflecting on the wall below the arch, and the wall is about 800 feet of red rock.

What an incredibly gorgeous image. Did you use a tripod?

You Betcha!!! It is very early and slow shutter speed needed for this shot. Thanx for the compliment.

I love, utterly love that photo!! WOW! I was wondering if you two, Susan and Neil, take pictures together. That is, are any of the photos themselves JOINT efforts? If you've already talked about this, I missed it and apologize.

Many are joint efforts, and we don't do a lot of territorial stuff about who photo is whose. Most images appear with both our names.

Hi Susan and Neil,
I agree with everyone else ... such an awesome photo! Plus, I was soooooo pleased to see the vertical version of this shot on the cover of Outdoor Photographer magazine (September '05 issue). A well-deserved CONGRATS!!!

Hi, Neil and Sue,
Thanks ... and I laughed at your remark! :-) And, yes, I'm looking forward to seeing you - along with many other instructors and members - at the BetterPhoto Summit!

Did I see this photo contest in Grove City, Ohio called Arts in the Alley last year? (if not, a photo that looked just like it won the big prize)
