This is a very appealing image! Love it! Would also be great in a diagonal composition with part of the stem showing. Just my thoughts :o)

Corry, congratulations...are you taking Jim's Non-Digital class? I tried this bubble thing and I could not do it...you are an inspiration for me to try it again....

Thanks Wanda. This was done for Jim's non-digital special effects course. I found I really preferred the look of the flowers when photographed from the side, rather than the top. This is in a round glass bowl with fairly vertical sides. I used a needle & thread to get a loop attached to the short stem, and weighted the flower down with a bunch of teaspoons. It's in club soda, and I let it sit for about 10 minutes to get the bubbles to be more stable.
