Thanks, Stephanie and Lori! And enjoy Seattle, Lori. If you want any suggestions as to great places to shoot, let me know. This is a 'target rich environment' as they say. This time of year, we often don't get any sunsets - it's usually the monsoon season. We are having a very dry, warm late winter and early spring - with a drought emergency already declared for the state. This sunset was really unusual. I was working at a pro lab and commercial graphics place (chock full of excellent and sometimes jaded photographers) when this was taken - and even in that environment people were going outside in droves and oohing and ahhhhing. My office window actually had this view of the Space Needle. John

Just came across your gallery from another gallery. First of all congratulations on the photo. Second, this is breath taking. It's so awesome. You were so lucky to have gotten such a beautiful. I was in Seattle a year ago June and got to go up in it. What a fantastic few from up there. Loved it.

Thx, Kay! For about 15 months I worked at a company where I had this view of the Space Needle out my office window. So...on those very rare occasions that a sunset of this intensity happened, I could grab the camera and go shoot it!
