For this self portrait, a second tripod mounted, motor-driven camera is positioned above a small waterfall and fired by remote. (The triggering device is hidden behind the camera body I'm holding and being activated with my thumb.)

Thanks Diane and Janet for your kind words.
The water was around 33 degrees that day, but I was quite comfortable in those chest-high waders.
With air temps in the low 20's, it's actually WARMER to stand in the water than on land...(as long as you fall in or spring a leak.)
As far as my being nuts,...I think the jury came in with the verdict on that one a long time ago. ;)

That's a great shot! Fab composition and definite points for bravery-- hip waders or not! (I'm a canadian, so I know all about cold waters lol).

Good job!

Wow! I love this shot, and I want to join you sometime ... I don't run into too many people who want to have this kind of "fun" ...!

Thanks Stephanie for your nice comments.
(Though some would argue that a fine line could be drawn between "fun" and borderline insanity.) ;)
