Karen, I imagine that Photodeluxe has either a 'levels' or 'curves' tool somewhere. Both of these tools will enable you adjust the levels in this picture. I played with it and had good results with both tools in Photoshop (I don't have Photodeluxe). By allowing the highlights to blow out a little, especially in her shirt, a good tonal range in their faces was not difficult to achieve.

Hi Karen, I really like this picture. I am unable to open up my PhotoDeluxe at this time but I seem to remember a button for "Advanced" work. Find this area (get out of the "Easy" area) and you might be able to find the kind of functions that Kris mentions above. Let me know how it goes.

Thanks so much for your input - I did find more tools in "advanced" area & came up with a decent print to give to my little friends! Your site is terrific.
