Interestingly enough I have almost the exact same picture that I took from probably the exact same spot on that road that leads to the castle. I took mine last summer with my old Kodak digicam. It's really neat how the branches frame it. When I first walked by I thought 'wow...it's almost as if they planted these trees for photographers.'

Thanks Jordan, Jane, and Noel for your comments! Jordan, I had actually come down the path to take a picture of the castle opposite Neuschwanstein and the lakes that were glowing ethereally in the light between storms, but had to wait for a crowd to move. As I was waiting, I just happened to turn and see these trees framing the castle. I love those moments!
