Hola Protacio, very unusual picture, imaginative, certainly a different angle on zoo animals. However, I think our non-spanish speaking friends will not get the meaning of the title. saludos.

Thanks fellows. "Quattro"...I feel a little Italian lately ; ) Yes Linda. Quattro is four in Italian. I took this picture last year at a party in a minisafari a friend of mine owns. I got problems when focusing because the viewfinder in the D100 is smaller than the regular viewfinder for 35mm, so I took this in autofocus, and sadly the camera focused to the leg in the far right. I was working at f/2.8 to avoid any sign of captivity, like fences, wires, etc. That is why the knee in the middle of the frame is out of focus. My friend wanted portraits of her beloved animals and I was shooting at their legs. Can you imagine that? It was funny because I showed some of the pictures I took to the people at the party and when I got to this frame and others where only part of the animals or just their furs showed, they looked at me in a strange way. It was like "what is wrong with him?" "He had the whole animal right there and shoot at the legs?" I heard a friend of mine when he said “Don’t worry. He’s an artist…he knows about this things”. I laughed. I felt like he was trying to tell them that I am not crazy. I made enlargements of the pix I liked and gave them as a birthday present for her. I’m glad you enjoyed this one. Want to see the zebra? : ) Regards

What kind of animals does she have in her mini-safari?

Hey Mel: Good to see you. The one with the long legs shown above is Nene, and there is a zebra, kangaroo, a small gator, a dromedary, several antelopes, deer (different species), lots of ostriches, monkeys, marsupials, and some other species I don’t remember at this time. It is a nice place. I’ll set up a gallery in my website with some of the images I have from my latest visit. I’ll let you know. Protacio Serna
