Hello everyone! Thank you all for your kind and supportive feedback. Yes, I've been on a hiatus so to speak. The holidays are very hectic and I just haven't had much time to get on BP. Nor will I have a lot of time to make comments for the next couple of weeks! So please feel free not to comment on mine as well. I miss seeing everyone's great photos...but I will just have to wait until things calm down, before I can get back into my routine. Wow, Wendy, That is an obsolute gorgeous shot. How did you get that? by that I mean, where were you when you happened to see that gorgeous dragonfly. I love dragonflies but I never can seem to find any to photograph.

Hi Catherine, I was in a small town called Micanopy, in Florida, and I was running into this little store to get a cold drink, when I spotted him flying around the bushes. So I ran back to the car, grabbed my camera and snapped a few. Luckily he was lazy and not scared...so he didn't fly away. Not bad for hand held...but it's because he sat so still. I see them mostly around lakes here in Florida though. Thanks for your comments and thanks also to Cindy and the lazy dragonfly! :o)
