Thanks, Dan and Frank! Yes, Dan, who knew...but you find images everywhere if you just really look at the world. The blue shadows are from the light of open sky. Here, there was big blue sky above the lattice roof, so the ambient light of the sky, the blue light, made the shadows blue. It wouldn't have worked as well if the table was brown or any other color but white!
