Hi everyone: I definitely agree - a well-deserved congratulations ... this is such a wonderful image! In fact, this shot makes an awesome selection for BetterPhoto's monthly "Where in the World?" quiz. It will be featured in the new issue of BP's PhotoFlash newsletter!

So please don't give away the location, June - let's see if anyone can come up with the correct answer! In several days, I'll check back to see how things are going.

Again, June, congrats on your excellent photo. And, for everyone else, have fun guessing where this scene can be found!

It's Manhattan, probably taken from a boat on the Hudson River.

This is lower/downtown Manhattan, where the Twin Towers used to be. It's taken from the New Jersey side (my guess would be Jersey City). The black building is 1 Liberty Plaza and I think the building with the dome is the American Express building. The smaller brown buildings is Battery Park City.

How's that for detail? ;)

I sure miss this view.

My first thought Manhatton but then I thought that would be two easy, Then I thought it was Seattle, but were are the Moutains behind Seattle. After looking at it for a long time, I am going to have to say Manhatton. Great shot, I love the red boat, It makes it look like living in a big city could acutally be fun.
I am from southern Idaho and just seeing pictures of skylines like this blows me away.

Hi everybody: Excellent guesses! But for those of you who guessed the New York City skyline ... well ... you're right! Here's more from June:
"It is specifically lower Manhattan, west side on the Hudson, featuring One and Two World Financial Center and Battery Park City ... shot from Jersey City, N.J. I shot this on the third anniversary of 9/11, waiting for the tribute in lights to shine."
So, thanks for taking part in BetterPhoto's "Where in the World?" quiz. And again, June, an awesome photo!

Regards,
