This sculpture (it was red when I photographed it) was part of a roadside exhibit across from a scenic point in view of Mt. Shasta in Northern California.

This must have been how my husband felt during his one-week hospital stay. He was tethered to his bed by a Shyley Internal Jugular Central Line, several IV's, ECG monitoring leads, blood pressure cuff, B-Pap breathing machine, and inflatable leg wraps (to prevent blood clots--not to mention other catheters).
----
Now he is home and home free! What a difference a day makes!

So aptly titled. A wonderful graphic portrayal of helplessness. Here's wishing for a great recovery for your husband. I can relate to this when I had my bypass.
