Flying Through the Smoke
Flying Through the Smoke
This is one of four CL215 Canadian Water Bomber aircrafts that helped to save our cabin and many other homes on May 25, 2014 from the recent Funny River Fire. Every 3.8 minutes for over 4 hours, each of these amazing planes dumped 1200 gallons of water to help suppress the advance of the fire. This crew came from Alberta. Alaska relies heavily on them and their team of other aircrafts every fire season. We are so grateful to them!

The story makes the picture even more beautiful. What a wonderful chance to get some pictures of the plane that saved the day for you and others. A beautiful action shot and I am thankful that you all were saved by these wonderful hero's. Thanks for sharing with us Carrie.
